Initial Visit

We ask that all new patients to the practice have the following documents with them at the time of their first visit:

• Current referral from your General Practitioner.
• Copies of any recent/relevant blood or ultrasound reports

Dr Sabau makes every effort to see patients at their appointed time. However, due to the unpredictability of babies wanting to meet their mother, he may occasionally run late. To minimise any inconvenience, please call our work mobile on 0438 346 591 to confirm wait times prior to arriving to the practice.

Fees

Gynaecology fees:

• Initial visit – Medicare item 104 – $280 (Medicare rebate $86).
• Complex initial visit – Medicare item 125 – over 45 mins $300 (Medicare rebate $152).
• Review visit – Medicare item 105 – $180 (Medicare rebate $43).
• Colposcopy – Medicare item 35614 – $140 (Medicare rebate $63), billed in addition to visit item number.
• IUD insertion – Medicare item 35503/14206 – $150 (Medicare rebate $79), billed in addition to visit item number.

Obstetrics fees:

• Out of pocket for private antenatal care and delivery for those with Medicare and Private Health Insurance – $3500 (Medicare will refund between approx $650 – depending on Safety Net threshold).
• Please call the rooms to discuss Shared Care fees
